The following index loosely categorizes the resources I link to. I do not guarantee that all the links are up to date, and I promise that this list is not comprehensive, as there are so many resources out there these days that there is no way I can list them all. Also, you will find some resources listed under multiple headings, because they strike me as appropriate that way. Some of these links may be categorized inappropriately. If you find that to be the case, please bring it to my attention and I'll attempt to address it.

Shattered Lives--Living on the Edge of Fear
Shattered Lives is a film produced by non-profit Idanha Films showing the affects of family violence.
The goal of this site is to provide a forum and avenue for abuse survivors to anonymously post letters to their abuser.
Another of the oldest sites in dealing with trauma recovery, this site has discussion forums and an extensive list of hundreds of links related to healing.

Peter is a recovering child molester who frequents alt.abuse.offender.recovery. I've interacted with Peter quite a lot, and respect him not only for his recovery, but also for the wisdom he brings to the discussion of abuse topics.
The mission of Crossroads Safehouse is to end family violence in Larimer County, Colorado. This site is definitely targeted to Larimer County, but has some information which will be of more general use. As importantly, it offers a glimpse at one community's effort to address the problem of family violence.

Delson-Kokish Associates (DKA) is a private counseling center located in Humbold County, California, where the Redwoods meet the Pacific Ocean that specializes in Domestic Violence, Child Abuse and Neglect, Rape, and Sexual Deviance. They look to me like they know what they're doing, and their site is worth looking over for a perhaps different approach to these topics than you've seen before.
Metro Nashville Police Department An excellent, updated, resource full of practical quality material for discerning and dealing with abuse, including a very practical guide on how to make a separation safety plan . Quite possibly the finest collection of information on abuse I've seen anywhere on the net.
Community United Against Violence
This site includes information on same sex domestic abuse, although its rather dated.
This site includes information about MSV literature and training, and includes back-issues of their newsletter.
S.A.F.E.: Stop Abuse For Everyone
Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) is a human rights organization that provides services, publications, and training to serve those who typically fall between the cracks of domestic violence services: straight men, gays and lesbians, teens, and the elderly.
WRAP: Women's Rural Advocacy Program
WRAP is a collective of six offices serving six counties in southwestern Minnesota. They currently advocate for domestic abuse victims in Cottonwood, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine counties.
Megan's Abuse and Recovery Site
This is one of the older abuse sites on the net, and was reworked in early 2002. It is good to see the healing Megan has undergone over the years. It includes her own story and other basic information on abuse.

Supporting someone going through difficulties is itself difficult. This site is designed for helping those supporting people with anxiety disorders, which are not uncommon among abuse survivors.

This site is devoted to building strong marriages, which is a worthy goal. The basic principles look okay to me. If I get closer to getting into another marriage, I'll probably give it a more scrutinizing look and a more detailed review.

This site is about a system of addressing anger constructively. It's worth looking at, at least.
Native Shop is a project of the Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center. Participants there are marketing products as an economic development project to raise funds for the resource center's programs.
